Position Overview






Inspects forgings for conformance to specifications, fix defects if possible,applying knowledge of metal characteristics and forging methods. 









Roles / Responsibilities 





Examines forgings to detect surface defects, such as underfill, scale, mismatch, laps, and cracks
Completes paperwork filling in all areas required.



Reads job order to determine if all specified operation, such as heat-treating, cleaning,  have been performed 
Performs other related duties as required or directed



Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition 


Grind parts when necessary
